Aboriginal Art Gallery

Inspired by country

Artwork by Amiwarre

Modern environments present a unique opportunity to learn about the oldest continuing culture in the world through the lens of artwork and creating. It presents itself as an effortless opportunity to integrate and embed culture into Urban, built up environments where we may not often consider Aboriginal Culture as prevelant to that area.

A large mural, a t-shirt, tote bag, phone case, branding on a vehicle..The opportunity to create conversations has no barriers.

Please enjoy this gallery of some of Ambrose's recent work. All work is inspired by country, story and his connections to his old people.

Arltunga

This is Nana's country. The place where our people lived for 15,000 years. This is apmere and I feel deeply connected to this desert country. Nana was also removed from here when she was 3 years old, taken 1500km North to Melville Island. This artwork represents that connection and displacement - It will forever be home.

Aboriginal Art

is a powerful medium for indigenous communities to express spirituality, connection to land, and resistance against colonial erasure. Culture is alive and well, and the contemporary Aboriginal Art movement is a reflection of that.
