Our Why?
From a young age, Ambrose has been afforded the opportunity to create freely, connecting him to his family, ancestors and communities when otherwise 1000's of km away from country. His grandparents did not have this opportunity. Stolen generations and the young, premature death of his grandfather meant culture was stripped from a whole generation in Ambrose's lineage.
We believe the sharing of culture, educating our young people and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles are at the core of empowering youth and creating a sense of community and establishing identity. Education of culture through Urban regions is also at the forefront of how we believe we can create change and challenge stereotypes and perspectives of Aboriginal people.
It is this desire of true reconciliation, equitable opportunity and empowering our communities and people that drives Ambrose to educate, create and keep active, sharing culture for all Australians to participate in and enjoy is vital to a deadlier, united future. The added hope of inspiring one young person to practise and continue culture or better themselves by breaking social barriers and chains is also a huge driver and at the forefront of Ambrose's purpose.
